Please join Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., Hammond Parks and Recreation Department, 6th District Councilman Scott Rakos, 5th District Councilman Dave Woerpel and the Hammond Board of Park Commissioners as they dedicate the enhancement to Hessville Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, May 23rd at 1:00 p.m.
The improvements include an Interactive water feature, poured-in-place safety surfacing in the playground area, a 1/3 mile walking path, additional parking, new washroom facilities and improved accessibility. A new concrete style skate park is also currently under construction at the park and will open this summer.
