Get Ready for Summer Fun at Hammond’s Pools

CATEGORY: News, Parks Department

Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and Hammond Parks & Recreation invite all area residents to join us for summer fun at Hammond’s four outdoor pools. Pool passes are on sale now, and the pools will open, weather permitting, June 11 through September 3. Pool hours will be: Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm. All of the pools are closed on Mondays for maintenance. Pick up your Season Passes for the whole family at the Hammond Civic Center, 5825 S. Sohl Ave. or at the Jean Shepherd Community Center, 3031 J.F. Mahoney Drive.

Hammond’s outdoor pool locations are:

  • Pulaski Pool – 137th St. & Sheffield Ave.
  • King Pool – Tapper St. & Highland St.
  • Hessville Pool – Kennedy Ave. & 173rd St.
  • Edison Pool – Cherry St. & Mulberry St.

Hammond residents can purchase a Family Package. This package is the affordable way to go for a family of four….only $50! A Visitor’s Pass Punch Card is also available this year to Season Pass holders.

All of Hammond’s pools are available on a rental basis for pool parties on Saturdays from 6pm until 8pm.

Pool management reserves the right to close the outdoor pools for low attendance of 20 or less patrons, when the air temperature drops below 70 degrees, for special event/parties, or for any reasons that threaten the safety of our patrons.
