Applications Open for 2026 Funding Through the City of Hammond’s Gaming Advisory Committee
Hammond Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. announces that applications for 2026 funding through the City of Hammond’s Gaming Advisory Committee will open on December 15, 2025 and will remain available until February 20, 2026.
This year, the City is moving toward a more technology-friendly and streamlined process. All applications may now be completed and submitted entirely online through the City’s website. The application portal can be accessed here.
Funding is available to local not-for-profit organizations whose projects, activities, and services provide direct benefit to the residents of Hammond. The Gaming Advisory Committee—comprised of a diverse cross section of Hammond residents and City Council members—oversees the distribution of funds. The committee is chaired by Scott Miller, Mayor’s Chief of Staff. If your organization’s request is accepted, funding would be available sometime in June of 2026.
In 2025, the Gaming Advisory Committee awarded more than $400,000 to assist dozens of community organizations. The annual application process helps the committee evaluate proposed projects, and applicants may be asked to appear before the committee to further present their proposals.
All applications must be submitted online by February 20, 2026 to be considered for funding.
