McDermott, Jr. and Hammond Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce the first ever event, A Wonderful Day in the Neighborhood on Saturday, August 21 from 10 am until 2 pm at the Dowling Park, 3025 J.F. Mahoney Drive in Hammond. This new event will showcase: Kid’s Yard Sale (spots are 8’x4’ for $25 – registration ends Friday, 8/14) to sell unwanted toys, games, books and clothes; Chalk Art Fun; Pony Rides; Professional DJ; Kids Zumba; Ice Hockey Puck Shot Contest; Hammond Fire & Police Kids Zone; Kid’s Bike Rodeo (don’t forget your bike!); food concessions and more.
