CATEGORY: Events, Mayor's Office

Hear ye. Hear ye. Hammond Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. takes great pleasure in announcing that the City of Hammond shall declare Friday, February 19, 2016 as “219 Day,” the most exalted of all Region Holidays, aside from Black Wednesday.

The merriment begins at 2:19 pm as production at City Hall comes to a screeching halt with the declaration of a proclamation from Mayor McDermott.

Follow the Pied Piper to the Hammond Civic Center from 5 pm- 10pm for a Region Rave like no other. We’ll celebrate all things Region at the FREE 21 and older event.  The party will feature Dick Diamond and the Dusters and comedy from the Tomfoolery Fun Club. Eat, drink, and be merry with beer brewed in the 219 including, but not limited to, 18th Street, Byway, Wildrose, New Oberpfalz, and Three Floyds. To soak it all up?  Region food from the Sizzlebox Food Truck, State Line Pizza and many many more will be there…we’re adding more daily!

Have you dreamed of seeing a roller derby girl up close? The South Shore will make your dreams come true.
