Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and Hammond Parks & Recreation invite HAMMOND RESIDENTS with energetic children between the ages of 7 and 10 to beat the cold weather blues at the “January at the Jean” Saturday Recreation Program. January at the Jean is being held on Saturdays in January, the 7th through the 28th, 2017. This SUPERVISED program helps to foster physical skills, fitness, health, teamwork, leadership, and self esteem while creating recreational experiences for Hammond’s youth.
The program takes place from 9:00 am until noon pm at the Jean Shepherd Community Center, 3031 J.F. Mahoney Drive.
Pre-registration is required and the cost is $20 per child (non-refundable). Register at the Jean Shepherd Community Center between December 1st and December 30th, 2016. No registrations will be accepted after these dates. Must have a copy of the birth certificate for each child and a valid IN Driver’s License or State ID with a Hammond address. Space is limited, so please register early.
