Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and Hammond Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce the first ever Hocus Pocus Two-Day Event, designed to get you into the Halloween spirit, on Friday, October 8 and Saturday, October 9 at the Hammond Sportsplex, 6630 Indianapolis Boulevard. On Friday, October 8 at 7:30 pm, Hammond Parks & Recreation has partnered with the Hammond Public Library to show the Disney movie, “Hocus Pocus”, starring Bette Midler, Sara Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, inside the Sportsplex. The movie will be free of charge and everyone is welcome! On Saturday, October 9, there will be a “Hocus Pocus” Canvas Class for $35 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The fee includes all of your materials and instruction. This class is open to anyone 14 and over, and there will be a bar outside of the room for anyone who is over 21 that would like to purchase an adult beverage.
