Hammond Police Launch “Community Care Closet” Program

CATEGORY: Hammond Police Department, News

The Hammond Police Department is proud to announce the launch of the "Community Care Closet," an innovative initiative aimed at providing essential support to children entering foster care and individuals facing urgent circumstances within the community.

The Community Care Closet serves as a vital lifeline, offering crucial items to children as they transition into foster care. Recognizing the immediate needs of these vulnerable individuals, the Closet provides essentials such as food, hygiene products, school supplies, and comforting items to help ease the transition during this critical time.

The success of the Community Care Closet hinges on collaboration between the Hammond Police Department and compassionate donors dedicated to aiding community members in need. Through this partnership, the project aims to foster a sense of unity and solidarity within the community, empowering individuals to support one another during times of hardship.

The Hammond Police Department invites community members to join in the spirit of giving by supporting the Community Care Closet. To facilitate donations, the Hammond Police Department has set up a wish list on Amazon under the "HPD Community Care Closet". Community members are encouraged to visit the wish list to browse the items needed and make contributions that will directly benefit those need. To access the wish list, please visit HPD Community Care Closet.
