Hammond Gateway Transit Development District Released for Public Review

The Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (RDA) has released the draft Transit Development District (TDD) boundaries for the Hammond Gateway South Shore station. Details are available for review and comment on the RDA’s new TDD-specific Web site at https://www.nwitdd.com/hammond-gateway.

Hard copies of the district maps and their development process are also available for viewing and comment at Hammond City Hall.

The RDA will hold a hybrid in-person and virtual public engagement session on Wednesday. June 9th at 6:00 p.m. to present the Transit Development District for the Hammond Gateway station area to the public. The in-person event will be held in the council chambers at Hammond City Hall and will observe COVID-19 protocols, including requiring masks and social distancing.

This event will be simulcast on Zoom at https://mksk.zoom.us/j/85410730009 and the RDA’s Facebook page, facebook.com/rdacatalyst. Virtual participants will be able to submit written questions during the event that will be answered in the Q&A portion of the presentation. Written questions will also be taken from in-person attendees.
