The 14th Annual Festival of the Lakes invites all polka enthusiasts to stop by when it hosts its popular Polka Party on Sunday, July 23.
Musical guest The Music Company will bring a traditional Polish sound to accompany an afternoon of great food and dancing. Since 1969, The Music Company has been entertaining people throughout Chicagoland. Featuring a variety of musical styles, The Music Company has been performing for weddings, anniversaries, church and town festivals, Polka Masses, dances, and clubs throughout the country. Polka music has always been a style of music near and dear to the band’s hearts.
The festive celebration of the Polish heritage will run from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Hammond Marina, 701 Casino Center Drive. Admission and parking are free, and guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
Authentic Polish food from Cavalier Inn of Hammond and refreshments will be available for purchase.
