2021 Annual National Day of Prayer Program

Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the Department of Community Development, will host the 2019 Annual National Day of Prayer.

Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., and the Hammond Faith Based Community invite the public to attend a virtual/in-person program to recognize the National Day of Prayer.

When:
Thursday, May 6, 2021, 11:00am

Where:
Hammond Sportsplex
6630 Indianapolis Blvd

The theme will be “Lord Pour Out Your Love, Life, and Liberty” 2nd Corinthians 3:17.

The live event will take place at the Hammond Sportsplex with LIMITED SEATING. Social distancing practices will be observed. Masks are recommended. A ticket will be required to enter the program at the Sportsplex.

The event will also be streamed live on facebook.com and gohammond.tv.

The National Day of Prayer was created in 1952 and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. On May 5, 1988, President Ronald Reagan designated the first Thursday of May as a day of national prayer.
