Job Requirements
- Must be comfortable around water
- Must be aware of surrounds
- Ability to relate to the general public
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Job Duties
- Secures marina
- Operates POS system for beach parking and boat launch
- Closes/Opens marina designated gates
- Check in all visitors
- Goes on security rounds hitting all designated buttons
- Check on all boats to make sure they are secured and not taking on water
- Re-secure any boat that has become loose
- Use pumps to remove water from boats when needed
- Complete daily activity logs
- Complete Incident Report form when needed
- Assist lifeguards when clearing beach
- Enforce marina rules after office hours
- Clean guard house
- Water the plants around guard house
- Any other duties as assigned by HPA management
Hiring will be done in accordance with Hammond City Ordinance #8620 as it pertains to the residency requirement.
Position will be posted internally from August 18, 2026 thru August 24, 2026. If the position is not filled internally it will be held open for external applications an additional ten (10) days. The position will remain posted until filled or no more than 10 days.
