The City of Hammond announced today that the Development Agreement for the proposed data center project at 301 Digital Crossroads has expired following two previously approved extensions.

The agreement involved four parties: the City of Hammond, the Hammond Redevelopment Commission, Decennial Group, and CoreWeave. Under the terms of the Development Agreement, certain milestones and obligations were required to be completed by the June 30, 2026 deadline. Because those conditions were not satisfied, the agreement has expired. No additional extensions of the current agreement will be offered.

“While we are disappointed that the project did not move forward under the terms of this agreement, we appreciate the time and effort invested by all parties throughout the process,” said Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. “The City of Hammond remains committed to attracting transformative economic development opportunities that create jobs, expand our tax base, and strengthen our community.”

The City continues to believe the site is one of the premier locations for large scale economic development in the Midwest and will continue pursuing opportunities that provide long term benefits for Hammond residents and businesses.
