Hammond Mayor Thomas M. McDermott Jr., along with the Department of Community Development, the Black History Coalition Committee, and the Hammond Human Relations Commission, will host the 2025 Annual Black History Month Celebration. This event will take place at the Hammond Civic Center, located at 5825 Sohl Avenue, Hammond, Indiana, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

This year’s celebration will honor Non-Profit Organiztions.
