Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., City of Hammond and the Ministerial Alliance of Hammond & Vicinity, cordially invite all citizens from Hammond and surrounding communities to participate in the Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., march and commemorative celebration on Monday, January 20, 2025.

Lineup begins at 6:30 a.m. from Freedom Plaza, located on Tapper Avenue, and the march will start at 6:45 a.m. to the Hammond Civic Center.

Please bring your own flashlights or candles.

A community commemoration will be held at the Hammond Civic Center immediately following the march.
