PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, second floor of City Hall, 5925 Calumet Avenue. The Plan Commission will meet to review a petition of the City Plan Commission to amend the Comprehensive Plan for Planning District 4 – South Hammond Neighborhood Plan.
The proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan for Planning District 4 summarizes the City’s efforts to address the goals and priorities outlined in the South Hammond Station Neighborhood Plan. The City is seeking comments on the Comprehensive Plan from Hammond residents and community stakeholders. The City will consider all comments received before 4:30 PM on October 19, 2026. The preferred method for submitting comments is to use the form below or email morriss@gohammond.com. Public comments will be received formally at the public hearing.
