I attest and verify that, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound, hereby, for myself and heirs, successors, and assigns, release and hold forever harmless the below named parties for any and all claims or causes of actions for negligence, intentional acts, injuries, death, losses, damages of any kind, attorney fees, court costs, and costs of collection which I may have now or in the future against the City of Hammond, Hammond Parks & Recreation Department, any of the sponsors or organizers of this event, their agents or employees, arising out of or in connection with this event, which is caused by an act or omission, whether negligent, intentional or otherwise by said parties. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that I understand that weather conditions, course conditions, and other things may impact the racecourse and that I voluntarily incur any risk associated with participation in this event including acknowledging that running/walking have certain risks associated with them that can result in injury or death. I have read this release and understand that it releases my legal ability to pursue a claim.
