Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development are pleased to announce a ground-breaking ceremony for United Hospital Services at 1335 Huehn Street in Hammond, Indiana. As Indiana’s largest healthcare laundry service company, Indianapolis-based UHS chose Hammond as home for its second facility because of its great location and friendly business climate. “The city of Hammond welcomes UHS and its commitment to investing in Hammond, especially in the healthcare sector,” said Mayor McDermott. “Hammond is pleased to welcome UHS to its business community and help them grow and expand in the years to come.”

United Hospital Services will be constructing a brand-new 55,585 square foot facility on vacant land in the West Point area, near Gostlin Street and Columbia Avenue in Hammond. This $18M investment is anticipating a December 2022 grand opening with 35 new jobs, increasing to 110 positions in 5-7 years.

Location: 1335 Huehn Street, Hammond, IN.

The public is invited.
