Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the 219 Day Committee invite all Region residents age 21 and over to celebrate 10 years of 219 Day with a high school–style Region Reunion!

The Region’s annual party, 219 Day, returns to the Hammond Civic Center, 5825 Sohl Avenue, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. Admission is free.

This year’s celebration features live entertainment from Boy Band Review, classic back yard games, and a lounge area, along with fan-favorite attractions including the piñata, selfie booth, 219 Day temporary tattoos, and the highly anticipated reading of the 219 Day Proclamation.

Various Region craft and domestic beers will be available for your enjoyment.

Manic Meadery returns this year and will be serving the Region’s favorite meads.
