Yard waste bag pick-up begins in April

CATEGORY: News, Sanitation Department

Starting the week of April 13, 2015, the Sanitation Department will start picking up 30-gallon paper, biodegradable yard waste bags on a regular weekly basis. Bags can only contain grass or leaves and cannot weigh more than 50 pounds. Yard waste bags contaminated with any other materials, such as paper, plastic or dirt, will not be picked up.

Residents are instructed to place all yard waste bags at the street curb for pickup on their designated garbage day. It is recommended to set the bags out the night before to ensure on-time pickup.

Yard waste bag pickup will end the week of Dec. 14, 2015, weather permitting.
