Transit System - Complaints
The Hammond Transit System provides fixed route bus service to the communities of Hammond/Robertsdale, Munster and Highland. Connections are made via South Shore, PACE, GPTC, ECT, and CTA to nearby communities in Illinois and Indiana.
The Hammond Transit System also provides demand response (curb-to-curb) service for ambulatory and non-ambulatory disabled individuals and requires approval for participation.
All costs for the Hammond Transit System are paid in part by the City of Hammond, State and Federal taxes, contributions from Whiting and the School City of Hammond, and by fares collected by you, the passenger.
The Hammond Transit System is committed to providing courtesy to its passengers as well as offering you a safe and reliable service.
In order to provide you with the best service you deserve, you are encouraged to fill out the form on the reverse side if you would like to file a complaint or if you have a comment for consideration. You have the right to have your voice heard. Your input is strictly confidential and will be investigated appropriately. Your input is very important to us and by working together, we can make the Hammond Transit System the best it can be.
