
The City of Hammond by Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the Hammond Port Authority submitted a grant application to the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (RDA). The RDA approved the grant application for the Hammond Lakes project. The project is being fully funded by RDA dollars at no cost to residents of the City of Hammond. The RDA grant money can only be used on this project and cannot be used for any other purpose such as property tax relief or help with the city budget.
