The Hammond Parks Foundation, Inc. is a not for profit organization, operating separately from the Hammond Park Dept. The foundation’s goal is to 1) inform citizens of needs, programs, activities and future plans of the park system; 2) solicit private support for the city’s parks and recreational activities. Solicited funds, gifts and donations are applied directly to supporting and enhancing the parks, programs and recreational activities. The Foundation also works with neighborhood associations as well as other not-for-profit organizations.
