Feb. 5 and Feb. 19: EARLY LITERACY PROGRAMS
The Hammond Public Library, 564 State St., offers the following early literacy programs on Thurs., Feb. 5 and Feb. 19, Information is with Youth Services at (219) 931-5100, Ext. 336.
Babies and Books, for newborns through age 18 months, meets at 10 a.m.
Tiny Tots, for ages 18 months through 2 years, meets at 10:30 a.m.
Twos and Threes, for ages 2 and 3, meets at 11 a.m.

LITTLE LISTENERS IS FOR AGES 3-5
The Hammond Public Library’s Little Listeners program invites ages 3 to 5 to join in stories, songs, and crafts about Arctic animals. Little Listeners meets at 1 p.m. Tues., Feb. 3 and Feb. 17; and at 10:30 a.m. on Wed., Feb. 4 and Feb. 18. Information is with Youth Services at the library, 564 State St.; (219) 931-5100, Ext. 336.

Feb. 4: AFTER SCHOOL MOVIE

Feb. 9: MUSIC MONDAY

Feb. 11: CELEBRATE AN AUTHOR’S BIRTHDAY

Feb. 13: ARE YOU SUPERSTITIOUS? GOOD LUCK!

Feb. 23: LEGO CLUB; KIDS CAN 2
The Hammond Public Library offers two programs on Mon., Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. LEGO Club is where ages 6 to 13 may create using the library’s LEGO blocks. Feb. 26: CHILDREN’S BOOK DISCUSSION; JUST FOR TWEENS
The Hammond Public Library’s Children’s Book Discussion is Thurs., Feb. 26 at 1 p.m. Join us to discuss “The Middle of Somewhere” by J. B. Cheaney. All ages are welcome, but much of the program is geared toward ages 10-13.
At 4 p.m., ages 9 to 13 may attend Just for Tweens at 4 p.m. for “National Tell a Fairy Tale Day.” Share your favorite, and try to write your own fairy tale. Information is with Youth Services at the library, 564 State St.; (219) 931-5100, Ext. 336.

February: IMAGINE A READING WONDERLAND
The Hammond Public Library, 564 State St., presents a youth winter reading program during February. “Imagine a Reading Wonderland” invites kids to read books to earn prizes. Information is with Youth Services at (219) 931-5100, Ext. 336.

PRESENTATION BOARDS AVAILABLE
Working on a science fair or history project? Friends of the Hammond Public Library offer a presentation board kit for $9.50. The kit includes a 36-by-48-inch trifold corrugated presentation board; repositionable letters; science fair title headings; clip art; and a glue stick. READING TUTORING
