Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., the Hammond Human Relations Commission and Department of Community Development will host a Black History Month Celebration on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Hammond City Hall, 1st floor lobby. The festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m.
The theme for this year’s event is “Family Matters.” Mayor McDermott will present a proclamation honoring the longest married African American couples in the City of Hammond.
