The public is invited to attend and witness the swearing in of our recently elected Hammond officials. The 2016 Inaugural Ceremony will take place at the Hammond Civic Center on Friday, January 1, 2016 at 10:00am. This is a free event and Hammond residents are encouraged to attend.
Witness history as Mayor McDermott takes the oath of office for the fourth time. McDermott is the first mayor in the City of Hammond’s history to have been elected to a fourth consecutive term.
